Jennifer Lupo is the Managing Member of Lupo Law, Arbitration, and Mediation PLLC with offices in Manhattan and Rhinebeck, N.Y.
Ms. Lupo has more than 25 years' experience as a dispute resolution profesional. Her unique perspective comes from having sat in every seat at the dispute resolution table (client, advocate and neutral) in both mediations and arbitrations. Jennifer is a member of the national commercial, employment, and consumer arbitration and mediation panels of the American Arbitration As sociation, the national commercial and employment arbitration and mediation panels of CPR, and a FINRA arbitrator. She is also a member of several court annexed mediation panels including the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Distr icts of New York, the Supreme Court of the State of New York, New York County Commercial and Matrimonial Divisions. Ms. Lupo is a neutral with a vast array of experience having mediated or arbitrated cases in the areas of business divorce, complex commer cial, employment, entertainment, financial institutions and investments, insurance, intellectual property, labor, municipal liability, civil rights. shareholder and member disputes, telecommunications, information technology, and high net worth divorce.

Dispute Resolution
Arbitration: a private process where disputing parties agree that one or several individuals (arbitrators) will decide about the dispute after receiving evidence and hearing arguments. When arbitration is binding, the decision is final, can be enforced by a court, and can only be appealed on very narrow grounds.
Caucus: a confidential meeting in mediation of members of one side of a dispute, with the mediator, to discuss options to find a resolution.

Mediation & Arbitration
Mediation: Mediation is a private process where a neutral third person called a mediator helps the parties discuss and try to resolve the dispute. The parties have the opportunity to describe the issues, discuss their interests, understandings, and feelings; provide each other with information and explore ideas for the resolution of the dispute. While courts can mandate certain cases go to mediation, the process remains "voluntary" in that the parties are not required to come to agreement.
